CAPS - awarded funds for Darkness to Light training. Social Workers Collective/HEA - awarded funds to send social workers from all 7 school districts to the Indiana School Social Workers Association conference. All Pro Dad - awarded funds to design/produce promotional materials for outreach. The SOURCE staff assisted with designing materials. The Village Community Center - awarded funds to facilitate transportation options for participants. Downtown Ministries - received funds to implement Jobs for Life, a character and workforce development program for youth. Jimtown High School - awarded funds to assist the Hope Squad promote suicide prevention strategies and support groups. CAPS - received funding to support the delivery of Parents Cafe. Girls on the Run - was awarded funding to help increase volunteerism and provide appreciation gifts for volunteers. Goshen High School - was awarded a mini grant to design and implement the ReSet Area, a self-regulation and coping station for students. Boys & Girls Club - received funding to create a transition program for youth aging out of current programming. St. John's Catholic School - received funding to train 2 teachers in Tools for the Mind, an evidence based curriculum for pre-k and Kindergartners. Ignite Infinity - awarded funds to start an after school program called the Warrior Kid, a character and values building after school program for 4th and 5th graders. School Without Walls - received funding to implement their mentorship program called I AM WE (Woman Enough) for girls. School Without Walls is part of Elkhart Community Schools. Maple City Chapel - was awarded funds to start 3 new support groups for families and kids, focusing helping families through grief, divorce and navigating shared families. Pride Academy - was awarded funds to start a new program to promote positive behaviors, called Cub Cash Marketplace. Students earn 'Cub Cash' for good deeds and classwork completion. Pride Academy is part of Elkhart Community Schools. Baugo Intermediate - received funding to support the Grief Bag program to help students process loss of loved ones. HEA - received funding to provide Classroom 180 to social workers. CAPS - awarded mini grant to train an additional Darkness to Light trainer to expand local trainings on child abuse and prevention. Elkhart School Social Workers staff appreciation grant. Bashor - received funding to implement Trust Based Relational Intervention. Boys & Girls Club - was awarded funds to create sensory rooms and train staff in Trust Based Relational Intervention, an evidence based tool to engage children and youth. Big Brothers Big Sisters - received funding to purchase technology to make participant and mentor enrollments easier, and to fund mentor appreciation events. Lifeline Youth Ministries - was awarded a mini grant to train staff in Trust Based Relational Intervention. The Salvation Army Elkhart - was awarded funds to support disaster relief by creating Child Disaster Support Kits and purchasing needed items for family stability after a disaster. YWCA of North Central Indiana - received funding to implement Trust Based Relational Intervention. HEA - received funding to train Leah Plank in Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences, an evidence based program that seeks to equip service providers with the ability to promote resiliency. JDAI - awarded funds to help implement their trauma service dog. Lifeline Youth Ministries - awarded funds to create events and provide resources for children and youth, based in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). Boys & Girls Club - awarded funds for parent engagement events that will complement the Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) framework. Child and Parent Services - received funding to implement Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Concord Community Schools - received funding to train administrators and counselors in Trauma Informed Care strategies. Fairfield Community Schools - awarded funding to support the Elkhart County Social Workers Collaborative. Goshen High School - received funding to create a Teacher ReSet Area. This is a space for self-regulation and coping skill strategy development for teachers and staff. The Post - was awarded funding to purchase new curriculum for their after school program. Concord West Side Elementary School - was awarded funds to create a multipurpose room to house clothing, food, and Triple P sessions. Babies Basic Needs Corp - received funds to conduct an outreach campaign in Elkhart County. HEA - received funding to expand INSSWA 2022 school social workers conference attendance. Model Elementary School - received funding to help create calming corners in teachers classrooms. Calming corners are a trauma informed strategy to help with self-regulation and developing coping skills. Bristol Elementary School - was awarded funding to implement Trauma Informed Kits for students. These kits will help student to process emotions and develop self-regulation strategies.
